In 2017, I interned at the City Parks Foundation and used my five years at the International Center Photography to leverage my content creation for City Parks Foundation’s social media. Photographing free concerts and free educational programs across New York City, I experienced so much joy and community. I had the privilege to speak to locals and gained insight even as a New Yorker about people’s personal stories. Although I was assigned to create marketing material, my photographs demonstrate the joy and laughter I experienced during my time as a Photography Intern. I believe it is important to get the work done but as authentically as possible.
